Commodore owners are going to love this news story that we’ve just come across on Facebook. As if you remember playing and hopefully enjoying the 1980’s Arcade game of Wizard of Wor, which also appeared on the Atari 8-bit, Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Bally Astrocade and C64. Then at some point soon, Kornél Kolma together with Csabo will be releasing PETSCII Wizard of Wor for the Commodore Plus/4 as well as the Commodore 64 and CBM PET. While details are sparse about this version of the game, there’s a little bit more details from the creator as well as a video provided below.
And here’s the latest. “This is a work in progress PETSCII Wizard of Wor with the genius sound effects of Csabo. The game mechanics are very similar to the original one. This one is the Commodore Plus/4 version, but I’m also making a Commodore 64 and a CBM PET port of this game. And yes, finally it has a co-op mode, so if you want to make a friendly play, you can turn this mode on”.
