Activision Blizzard’s Bobby Kotick Will Step Down Later This Month

While ex-Nintendo employee Jill Braff will lead ZeniMax/Bethesda.

Following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision-Blizzard earlier this year (finally, right?), it’s been announced that Bobby Kotick will step down from his role as CEO on December 29th, 2023 (thanks, Eurogamer).

Kotick became CEO of Activision all the way back in 1991 and was integral to the company’s merger with Vivendi Games in 2008 to become Activision-Blizzard. The company has undoubtedly flourished under his leadership, however, Kotick has also been a focal point of numerous controversies regarding sexual assault, harassment, and misconduct.
