Following today’s release of Nintendo’s quarterly financial results covering the nine months from April to December 2023, Shuntaro Furukawa’s comment that the current Switch will remain Nintendo’s “main business” as the company heads into 2024 is a practised little piece of evasion from the company president. It’s something that shouldn’t be taken as a signal that we’ll be waiting until 2025 before hearing official news of a Switch successor.
