We at IO Interactive are delighted to share more news regarding 007 First Light following our gameplay reveal a few weeks ago. As part of the reveal, we shared some of the key members of our cast of voice and motion capture actors who will portray the main characters of 007 First Light.
Patrick Gibson (‘Dexter: Original Sin’, ‘The OA’) takes on the role of 26-year-old James Bond, while Priyanga Burford portrays the ever-commanding M. Alastair Mackenzie steps in as Q, and Kiera Lester plays Miss Moneypenny. The ensemble also includes Lennie James (‘Fear the Walking Dead’) as Bond’s mentor John Greenway, and Noémie Nakai as Miss Roth. Together, they form the ensemble cast of a fully reimagined Bond origin story for gaming.
Today, we are proud to announce that the ensemble grows even stronger with the addition of acclaimed British actress Gemma Chan (‘Marvel’s Eternals’, ‘Crazy Rich Asians’), who joins the cast of 007 First Light, set to launch on March 27, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC.
As revealed today as part of the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 Broadcast, and for the first time in her career, Gemma Chan will lend both her voice and likeness to a video game. She takes on the role of Selina Tan, MI6’s Head of Tactical Simulation, a new character specifically created for 007 First Light. Selina oversees a cutting-edge program designed to test and refine the skills of MI6’s most promising recruits. With her background in psychology, strategy, and immersive technologies, she is as formidable as she is innovative.
007 First Light is designed as a highly cinematic experience, blending IO Interactive’s trademark stealth-action gameplay with a thrilling narrative following James Bond’s first step into the world of espionage.
