With a new 16-bit makeover & a “true, SPC700 soundtrack”. A new fan-made NES-to-SNES port of Mega Man 2 is currently in development, courtesy of the homebrew developer Infidelity. Infidelity revealed the news on social media this past weekend, announcing that he is aiming to implement proper 16-bit graphics and a “true, SPC700 soundtrack” to…
Completing Close Threat in Crimson Desert is the final stage in the Extinguishing the Last Flames quest. During the other steps, you’ll have traveled around Hernand at the behest of Shakatu, questioning suspects and gathering potential evidence, all to prove who sold the guild out to the bandits. For the last stage, you have to…
Crimson Desert’s hit the public and, as I suspected, has buckled a bit under its own weight. It’s a charming but messy complex of systems in dire need of some quality-of-life brushups—and while some of Pearl Abyss’ design choices going into launch are a little baffling, it’s at least fixing some of them. This time you’re going to…

In 1983, the console hit the homes of gamers in Japan and test the waters of this new generation of console gaming. …
After expressing worry about the future health of games storefront GOG in an RPG Site interview, New Blood CEO Dave Oshry has recommitted to supporting the platform, including fuller parity with the Steam releases of its games. GOG’s clear remit—offering the titular “good old games” you can’t get elsewhere—has been long been challenged by Steam’s…
Fort Apocalypse Title Screen Early in my video gaming life, one of the first computer games I ever played was Dan Gorlin’s classic Choplifter on my cousin’s Apple II. The simple presentation, on that glowing monochrome green CRT, was instantly addictive. When we got our Commodore 64 some time later, it was one of the…
