Wake me up when September ends. Last week, Nintendo gave us our first official look at Switch 2 and threw in a ‘2025’ release window for good measure. While the House of Mario is yet to be more specific with its release date, publisher and accessory manufacturer Nacon has shared some narrower expectations (thanks, VGC)….
One of many companies pulling ads. Nintendo is pulling commercials from airing on the Japanese station Fuji Television (Fuji TV) following an ongoing sex scandal centred around Masahiro Nakai, one of the station’s biggest hosts. Now, to continue the trend, Nintendo has today added the SNES soundtrack Super Mario Kart to its music app for Switch Online…
Off the beaten path. Ahhh, there’s nothing like taking a detour in a video game. From sprawling open-world games to turn-based RPGs, sidequests are an almost essential part of the adventure. After all, can you really say you’ve saved the world or uncovered the secrets of your friends if you haven’t collected all of the…
If a “really talented developer” has a crack at it. There was once a time when Banjo-Kazooie was rightly considered to be a close rival to the Super Mario franchise when Rare launched two outstanding entries on N64 in the form of the self-titled debut and its sequel, Banjo-Tooie. That was a long time ago,…
