Just stop. It’s no secret that the Switch eShop is home to a ridiculous amount of utter slop alongside the genuinely good games, but what’s baffling us is just how unwilling Nintendo seems to be to improve anything. Just this week, we highlighted a game that blatantly copied Witch Beam’s homework with Unpacking, and now…
‘Star Trek: Legends’ beams down on Xmas Day. For many years it’s been slim pickings for Star Trek games on Nintendo systems, and while we’ve got our fingers crossed that Star Trek: Resurgence will get ported sooner rather than later, Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova — a solid co-op adventure from Tessera Studios — has been…
Wait, the meme was true?? Back in 2014, IGN, like many outlets, shared its review of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. While the vast majority showered the 3DS remakes with praise, IGN was slightly more critical, awarding them a 7.8/10 and noting that they have “too much water” (among other criticisms, naturally). In case…
Can you decipher it? Developer Poncle has posted an update on the future of the wildly popular Vampire Survivors, noting that the game “isn’t over” and that more content is on the way. However, you’ll have a bit of a hard time deciphering the upcoming road map, as it’s been presented in the most ridiculous…
Aaand, relax. Over the course of this week, the musician has dropped a trio…
Gee, wonder why? A new survey conducted by Japanese employment agency Gakujo reveals that Nintendo is the third most sought-after employer in the region. This comes via Otaku Soken (thanks, Automaton) and is based on responses from 5,476 university students across Japan. Nintendo is the highest company from the entertainment sector, and is only beat…

See what the locals of Steam Bison have to say. Remember the new Professor Layton and the New World of Steam trailer that was shared in August? Well, Nintendo UK has now shared a slightly different one. While it’s the same footage and gameplay, and the voice work and voiceovers are still in Japanese, the…
Some names are “causing discomfort to other users”. Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has been available on mobile devices for a month now and it’s a huge success story. While the game is chugging along just fine, it seems the development team has had to issue a notice about inappropriate player names. It seems some…
Fatality. According to a new rumour doing the rounds within the Mortal Kombat 1 community, future DLC plans for the brutal and bloody fighting game have supposedly been scrapped. A Mortal Kombat “verified insider” known as Fate Unknown – who reportedly has a proven track record – is claiming NetherRealm Studios has axed its plans…
