Elegant brutality. Marvelous Europe has launched what undoubtedly looks like one of the most stylish retro games on the Switch with Ninja or Die: Shadow of the Sun. Boasting slick animation with some seriously flashy visuals, Ninja or Die is unique in that everything can be accomplished with one button press – you jump to…
Ah, QPAD, my old friend. For those unaware of the brand, it isn’t just your average third-party attempt to replicate mainstream offerings for cheap. QPAD has been around for a long time, and back in the day it was somewhat of a leader in gaming peripheral tech. In the early 2000s, I recall its mice…
And what we can do about it when we spot it. Breath of the Wild was one of my first video games after an unintentional gaming hiatus (#adulting, sigh). The Kaoson was a very powerful and popular weapon back in Borderlands 3, and it’s returned in Borderlands 4, arguably even better than the last time we saw it. While it retains its unique bullet-hose, explosive personality, the Kaoson looks a little different than you might remember. Since Dahl weapons no longer exist, the Kaosin…

I never want to be an RPG gatekeeper—I want as many people as possible to find out what makes these games so great. But their inherent crustiness can make my old-head RPG favorites hard to recommend to people who haven’t already bought in. I’ve got a lot of friends I recommend Disco Elysium to, but…
