Five Tips for Glory in Rival Stars Horse Racing
It’s race season, and if you’re feeling inspired to get onto the track and ride, Rival Stars Horse Racing has you covered. Here’s our top helpful tips to get you straight into breeding and racing your own equestrian champions!

Tip 1: Stay in the Zone
Just like in real life, every horse in Rival Stars Horse Racing has their own position preference when it comes to flat racing. Some horses like to lead from the front, while others will hold the middle or even coast at the back before making a final push for the finish line. Make sure you check your horse’s position preference before you race! When racing, staying in your horse’s preferred position will give a boost to the charge rate of their Sprint. This way, when you hit that final stretch, you’ll be ready to put on a burst of speed and take first place!

Tip 2: Family Matters
If you want to breed a racing legend, you’ll need to pay attention to your horse’s parents. Rival Stars Horse Racing uses an in-depth genetic system to determine not only a horse’s looks, but also its stats in Agility, Acceleration, Jump and more. By breeding exceptional horses together, you’re more likely to get those great stats passed on to their offspring – and even improved.

Tip 3: Make the Grade
As you progress in your equestrian journey, you’ll need to own horses of higher levels, in order to compete in more challenging racing divisions. Breeding two horses of the same grade will result in an offspring of a higher grade and that can be trained to higher levels than before – but with a hit to their stats. By breeding and mixing lineages, you can experiment until you get the grade and the stats you want!

Tip 4: Practice Makes Perfect
In Rival Stars Horse Racing, you’re able to compete in four different racing disciplines – Cross Country, Steeplechase, Flat Racing and Showjumping. In every discipline except Flat Racing, you’ll have to contend with jumps. These require you to nail your leaps with your horse to vault over fences, logs, or pits. If you miss a jump, you’ll take a penalty, which will affect your race time. Luckily, you can redo tracks if you want, giving you the ability to practice hard and perfect your approach. You might even hit a new record!

Tip 5: The Right Horse for the Job
Rival Stars Horse Racing includes ten different horse breeds, and each one is suited to a particular type of racing through their unique breed bonuses. The proud Arabian is the best choice to take on those sharp turns on Cross Country, with a primary bonus to Stamina and a secondary bonus on Agility. Meanwhile the elegant Selle Français is better suited to Steeplechase due to bonuses in Sprint Energy and Jump. And the Knabstrupper – famous for its beautiful spotted patterns – shines best in Show Jumping. The best part? You can crossbreed horses to create the perfect horse for your favourite disciplines!
