How to get the Sigil of Valor in Crimson Desert

The Sigil of Valor is a new item in Crimson Desert that was added in the most recent patch and it allows your pet dogs to jump into the fray and help you in combat. While they’re not always the most aggressive, they will occasionally chance a bite out of some bandit, and even defeat enemies by themselves occasionally.

Think of them a little like how Silver Fang helps in combat, though admittedly less effective, especially if you bring a bulldog to a brawl. Below I’ll explain how to acquire and equip the Sigil of Valor on your dogs and show it in action.

You can buy the Sigil of Valor from Lacey, the Pororin Secret Vendor in Florindale, in the southeast of the Hernand region. First, that means you have to unlock access to Florindale and complete the Unreachable Village questline. This is pretty easy—you just have to get sleep darted trying to enter the village three times and after that a Shai called Arklin will appear who gives you the quest. Completing the second stage of this, Unauthorized Access, also gets you the Sotdae of Bond for taming birds, so it’s well worth the time.

Now, Lacey doesn’t have a set vendor marker, but I found her walking around the path near the big tree in the centre of Florindale at 10am—she’s a small girl with a backpack and will be marked with ??? when you approach and examine her. You can buy three Sigils of Valor, which let your dogs attack enemies, but also three Sigils of Bonding which let your cats permanently sit on your shoulder even when you’re running around. These cost eight silver each.

Equip the Sigil of Valor as you would any other pet armor, by making your chosen dog an active pet and then selecting the item from the inventory there. After that, your dog will occasionally help out in combat, taking bites out of enemies. They aren’t super aggressive, but as you can see in the clip, they will sometimes straight up kill a guy.
