Subnautica 2 console commands: turn on god mode, unlock all blueprints, craft without resources, and change your FOV

Modders sure work fast, huh? Subnautica 2 has only just launched into early access and already there are mods for it, including a couple that a lot of players will be keenly interested in.

If you were wondering if Subnautica 2 had a debug console like the original game, it doesn’t—at least not officially. However, modders have uncovered a debug console and with a couple quick mod installs you can access it yourself, letting you use Subnautica 2 console commands to enable cheats like god mode, instant item spawning, and the unlocking of all blueprints and recipes.

You can even change your FOV in Subnautica 2 using console commands, an option not included in the game yet.

How to access Subnautica 2’s debug console

  1. Download UE4SS for Subnautica 2.
  2. Find your game installation folder (on Steam, right-click the game in your library, go to manage, then browse local files)
  3. Extract UE4SS to Subnautica2Subnautica2BinariesWin64
  4. Download the Console Commands mod
  5. Extract it to Subnautica2Subnautica2BinariesWin64ue4ssMods

That’s all you have to do. Start up Subnautica 2 again, and while playing press F2 to access the command console.

When you press F2, you’ll see a number of commands you can click right there on your screen that will let you spawn items in your inventory, toggle individual survival systems like starvation and suffocation, and add slots to your inventory.

However, there are also commands and cheats you can enter manually into the console. Here are the console commands we’ve found and what they do.

There are more Subnautica 2 console commands, and we’ll expand this list as we find and test more. Note: there are some commands that are in the game but are currently disabled, even with mods.

These commands exist but are not working yet:

  • Goto
  • Fastswim
  • Noclip
  • Fly
  • Warp

We might need to wait for an official update to use those functions. In the meantime, Unknown Worlds has confirmed to PC Gamer that official console commands and FOV options are planned for Subnautica 2’s early access.

“We are planning updates to the game that will include console and camera functions, but are still trying to figure out the timing as we want to make sure these roll out in a way that enables all players—console and PC—to use them,” game design lead Anthony Gallegos told PC Gamer.
