As the producer and director for Team NINJA’s Wo Long series, I’m excited to finally be able to reveal that Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is not only in development, but it will be coming to XBOX in early 2027 and will be available day one via XBOX Game Pass!
To help celebrate the announcement, we’ve also released the game’s first trailer, showcasing just some of the danger fans will face as they dive back into our fantasy Three Kingdoms battlefields filled with deadly demons and powerful warlords. This is a brand new story in the Wo Long universe, featuring a new playable protagonist – although returning players will meet characters they may already be familiar with…
Born from War’s Flames, a Phoenix Ascends
Set in the late Eastern Han period, when various warlords contended for supremacy and the heroes of the Three Kingdoms emerged, a phoenix rises from the fires of war as a nameless champion fights across vast battlefields faced with powerful enemies and fearsome fiends.
To defeat the monstrous demons, players will need to master an evolved Chinese martial arts style integrating both offensive and defensive combat. Through the technique known as deflect, the nameless warrior will fight with Spirit as he delivers fatal blows to bosses and beasts alike.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.
Wo Long refers to a crouching dragon, and also refers to a hero or person of greatness who is not yet known. This is the story of officers, who will later become heroes, during their ‘unknown’ period, and also the story of a protagonist’s rise from being a ‘nobody’.
