1995’s EVE Burst Error kicked off a franchise which is still going strong to this very day, with the most recent entry being 2022’s EVE Ghost Enemies – but it’s easy to forget that this visual novel franchise began its life as an erotic (or ‘eroge’) title on the PC-98 home computer, with the subsequent console versions censoring much of the mature content.
Now, fans have made a new patch available that “injects a heavily cleaned and partially retranslated version of Himeya Soft’s English localisation of the Windows version of EVE: Burst Error back into its original uncensored PC-98 version.”
