I had no trouble finding vendors to offload Coen’s endless supply of low-value pilfered junk in Blood of Dawnwalker, but it took a few days to figure out how to sell silver. It makes sense that silver is considered contraband under vampire rule, so you have to find the right vendor to foist it on and complete a quick quest before adventuring south.
Where can you sell silver in Blood of Dawnwalker?
You can sell silver in Svartrau City to the aptly named Silver Trader, but before you leave Coen’s home in Laslea Glen, complete the Into the Den quest. It doesn’t take long to slay the ravenous bear, and you need the intel uncovered by investigating what remains of its dinner.

- Any item with a white chalice icon is silver contraband
- Complete Into the Den, a quest that begins east of the Northern Foothill

- Head south to Svatrau City and speak with the Silver Trader
- Tell him you know he’s dealing in silver, and he’ll agree to trade
In the name of RPG science, I tried heading to Svartrau immediately and skipping Into the Den, but the Silver Trader just tells Coen to get lost. You’ve gotta kill the bear, sorry.
A note at the end of the quest points Coen to Svartrau’s Neustadt District. The city is further away in south-central Vale Sangora, but as long as you’ve completed Into the Den, you can visit as early or as late as you want. The map populates with new merchant icons and quest icons when you’re close—the Silver Trader is in the southwest corner.
When he plays coy about Coen’s visit, tell the Silver Trader you know what he’s up to, and he’ll agree to buy your silver contraband. It sells for way more than all of those pickles and chunks of raw meat in Coen’s pockets. Well worth the bear fight, if you ask me.
