If you don’t have a head for heights, you might wanna look away for a moment, as classic gaming purveyor Hamster has announced that the Famicom port of Crazy Climber is the newest addition to its Console Archive range.

Released for the Famicom in 1986, following a successful coin-op run for the 1980 original, Nichibutsu’s Crazy Climber is a simple, vertically-scrolling platformer that pushes player coordination to its limit. Gameplay sees a man attempting to scale the outside of a series of skyscrapers, avoiding falling objects, birds, and murderous residents. Our hero has seemingly no purpose for their ascension, nor the need for a safety net or lifeline. This is because the game is not called “Sane Climber.”
