That’s because next month, a new 35th anniversary exhibition is kicking off at Ikebukuro PARCO in Tokyo, Japan, to take a look back at the series’ history through a variety of exhibits (h/t: TokyoGameLife).
The event, which is called SONIC the Exhibition -ACROSS GENERATIONS-, is being organised as a collaboration between Ikebukuro PARCO, R11R Inc., kanon Inc., and the Sega Corporation, and is said to feature gaming titles across the series, in addition to rare development materials, a special exhibition containing artwork from 16 contemporary artists with “a deep affection” for the iconic blue hedgehog (and his cast of friends), and exclusive merch.
