Video games have been delivering armies of horrific, nightmare-inducing monstrosities ever since their inception. I know somebody who was scared as a child when coming face-to-face with Taito’s Space Invaders cabinet, terrified by its spiky, void-like creatures lurching toward her. Hell, I knew a kid who was scared of this Commodore Format poster for Chuck Rock.
