At the end of Blood of Dawnwalker‘s prologue, you’ll fight Brencis, the Knyaz of Vale Sangora, and quite obviously the game’s main antagonist. It’s one of those classic “you’re not supposed to win this” boss fights, since losing to him plays a cutscene and continues the story. But where there’s a will, there’s a way….
Finding Vrakhir blood in Blood of Dawnwalker might trip you up a bit if you’re looking to unlock new abilities and generally mess about as a creature of the night. While you acquire most skills in the tree naturally as you drink blood and just generally be a vampire, some specific skills only become available…
Coen is certainly going through it, but Blood of Dawnwalker offers a smidge of succor by not making him face the onslaught of horrors alone. You’ve got three potential romance options for him—one of which seems more ‘canonical’ than the rest—and the vampy RPG doesn’t make you choose just one. When it comes to games…
Choosing whether to let Anca use The Font or claim it for yourself in Blood of Dawnwalker is tough. On the one hand, you committed a lot of time to fighting your way through an ancient ruin and it’d be nice to have something to show for it. On the other hand, you’ve got Anca’s…
Searching for some Blood of Dawnwalker tips? Deciding what to do first in this vampiric RPG can be tough, especially if you’re the kind of person who’s paralysed by indecision when a game gives you a lot of freedom. You’ve got 30 days to save your family: everything else is pretty much anyone’s game. (Image…
When you stumble on The Heart Wants What It Wants in a random tavern in Blood of Dawnwalker, you might be surprised by how complex this quest can be in terms of its outcomes. The actual meat of the quest, helping an Uriashi, Ocha, and her friend, Nora, escape the clutches of Svartrau’s crime lord,…
Receiving the A Bulwark Against Darkness quest in Blood of Dawnwalker is a bit of a surprise, coming, as it does, from a smuggler who’s been sent to infiltrate Vale Sangora just to give you this message. Your mysterious benefactor details a special set of armour that can help you in your fight against Brencis,…
The Blasphemy quest is one of the most impactful in Blood of Dawnwalker‘s prologue, since it impacts the Blood Mass at the end of the day. When you find Gremla, bemoaning the theft of her tapestry, she explains that she took on that task of weaving a vampiric banner for the Knyaz, and that Brencis…
Facing Ambrus in Blood of Dawnwalker‘s The Gilded Gauntlet quest is likely the first fight you’ll encounter with one of Brencis’s boyars. After all, this foppish Vrakhiri rules over the provinces you start exploring immediately after you leave Laslea, and is responsible for procuring blood from Vale Sangora’s, often unwilling, subjects. As with any of…
Deciding whether to force feed Coen’s mum in Blood of Dawnwalker is one of the initial choices you’ll encounter, but if you’re like me, you may pause over it a while wondering how much it’s going to impact. The game’s prologue has only just started in earnest, and this is the first proper decision you…
