I had no trouble finding vendors to offload Coen’s endless supply of low-value pilfered junk in Blood of Dawnwalker, but it took a few days to figure out how to sell silver. It makes sense that silver is considered contraband under vampire rule, so you have to find the right vendor to foist it on…
Deciding whether to force feed Coen’s mum in Blood of Dawnwalker is one of the initial choices you’ll encounter, but if you’re like me, you may pause over it a while wondering how much it’s going to impact. The game’s prologue has only just started in earnest, and this is the first proper decision you…
The Blasphemy quest is one of the most impactful in Blood of Dawnwalker‘s prologue, since it impacts the Blood Mass at the end of the day. When you find Gremla, bemoaning the theft of her tapestry, she explains that she took on that task of weaving a vampiric banner for the Knyaz, and that Brencis…
Coen is certainly going through it, but Blood of Dawnwalker offers a smidge of succor by not making him face the onslaught of horrors alone. You’ve got three potential romance options for him—one of which seems more ‘canonical’ than the rest—and the vampy RPG doesn’t make you choose just one. When it comes to games…
If you’re curious whether you can save Vlad in Blood of Dawnwalker, chances are you’ve probably just killed him. Unable to resist your newly-gained vampiric urges, you chomped his neck and drank his blood, and the game didn’t give you a choice in the matter. Well, there is a way Vlad can survive your encounter…
How time works Time-sensitive quests are marked with a clock 🕑 in your quest log. There are eight time segments each day (and eight each night). Quests that use up time have an hourglass symbol ⏳ and number to indicate how many segments they use. ⚠️ Getting caught stealing will waste four time segments with…
Finding Witchcraft manuals really helps make Blood of Dawnwalker‘s human combat a lot of fun. These hexes can summon a murder of crows, set enemy blood ablaze, or even protect and reflect against a single instance of damage. The catch, however, is that you’ll have to track down skill manuals to unlock them. I’ll run…
Tracking down Swordmastery manuals in Blood of Dawnwalker will give you more abilities to use when fighting in your human form. While the regular skill manuals appear to be random, the actual ability manuals have fixed locations, so you can track them down whenever you want. Below, I’ve included manual locations for all the Swordmastery…
Fighting the Ravenous Bear is an early combat challenge in Blood of Dawnwalker‘s prologue, but mainly because you don’t have many skills or decent equipment yet, which turns the fight into a slog. After you do defeat it, you’ll also have to track down a treasure as part of the Into the Den quest. I’ll…
Deciding whether to spare Xanthe and make a deal in Blood of Dawnwalker is a really tough choice. On the one hand, she’s an evil ancient vampire who kidnapped and killed a bunch of innocent women, but she was only using Brencis as a tool of convenience. That might be enough for you to ponder…
