If you’re just starting your journey in Zombie Graveyard Simulator, here’s our first piece of advice: don’t let the peaceful daytime fool you. A well-organized cemetery is your best defense when night falls and trust us, you’ll appreciate every upgrade once the zombies start pouring in.
We’re excited that you can jump into Zombie Graveyard Simulator today on Xbox Series X|S, and even more excited that you’re getting much more than the original launch experience. Since the game’s debut on PC, we’ve continued expanding it with major content updates inspired by community feedback, and all of those improvements are included from day one on Xbox.

One of my favorite additions is the Stone Quarry & Workshop. Thanks to this update, you can mine different types of stone, craft your own gravestones, and develop an entirely new production chain that makes your cemetery feel even more like a living business. The more self-sufficient your operation becomes, the easier it is to keep growing.
The world also became much bigger thanks to Expeditions. Rather than spending every day inside the cemetery gates, you’ll answer distress calls, venture into new locations, complete unique objectives, and return with valuable rewards that help expand your business back home. It completely changes the rhythm of the game and offers a welcome break from your daily routine.

We’ve also continued adding systems that make your cemetery feel more alive. The Chapel Expansion introduces new buildings, employees, and activities that improve both efficiency and atmosphere, while dynamic weather effects make every day look a little different. Updates like High Stakes & Hot Ashes introduced new cremation mechanics, custom urns, delivery systems, and additional progression paths, giving you even more ways to grow your cemetery exactly the way you want.

If you’re looking for a few beginner tips, we’d recommend focusing on your daytime economy before investing heavily in combat. A profitable cemetery means more money for stronger weapons and better defenses. Don’t overlook upgrades that improve your daily workflow, either – saving just a few minutes every in-game day adds up over time. And when you do head into battle each night, remember that good barricade placement can often be just as valuable as having a bigger gun.
Perhaps one of the game’s biggest additions, Expeditions, came directly from players asking to explore beyond the cemetery walls. That conversation with the community has shaped nearly every major update we’ve released, from the Stone Quarry & Workshop to new progression systems and quality-of-life improvements.

Whether you’re here for the relaxing management gameplay, the satisfaction of building a thriving cemetery, or the thrill of surviving another night against the undead, there’s never been a better time to jump in. Zombie Graveyard Simulator is available now on Xbox Series X|S, and we can’t wait to see how you build and defend your very own cemetery.

Visitor Satisfaction is Key
After processing the bodies, visitors will return to check on their loved ones. Your duty is to keep graves intact while providing fresh flowers and maintaining a welcoming environment. Every visit rewards you with valuable bonuses to help your business thrive.
Visitors can also stop by the Chapel to rest, attend sermons, and browse the Souvenir Shop for small keepsakes like candles and incenses. A clean, decorated, and well managed graveyard encourages greater generosity while donating!
Build your Defenses
Each night, waves of zombies will come with their numbers growing and special zombie types emerging, hungry for freshly buried bodies and for you. Some nights may be even more dangerous with special events like the Blood Moon. From basic defenses like barbed wires and fences to advanced machines like flamethrower turrets, keep your defenses upgraded, repaired, and fully stocked with ammo to withstand the night. Your loyal pet companion can also assist you during nighttime defenses.
Trust your Arsenal
With a wide arsenal of 13+ weapons, including pistols, rifles, shotguns, and your trusty shovel, you are the ultimate force against the Zombies. As you level up, unlock and purchase new weapons to become even stronger. Just make sure to stock up on enough ammo!
Even a Graveyard Can Be Cozy Sometimes!
Use your Farming Area to grow different flowers for profit and vegetables to simply eat and restore your energy and health. With Upgrades, you can even unlock a Grinder to turn zombie parts into Fertilizer. Decorate your Graveyard with benches, lights, paths, custom urns, and other ornaments to make it truly your own.
Expand and Upgrade Your Facilities
Your graveyard isn’t just a resting place, it’s a business, and every upgrade matters. Expand your burial areas, manage custom urns at the urn station, upgrade your crematorium, and operate new facilities like the Stone Quarry & Workshop to craft your own gravestones. Improve your water supply, manage resource production, and unlock advanced stations like the Zombie Research Lab to process captured zombies into valuable products.
Hire a team of employees to help with day-to-day tasks: the Florist keeps flowers running, the Gravekeeper maintains burials and cremations, the Gardener keeps your farm in check, the Technician ensures all machines run smoothly, and Chapel staff like the Priest, Pianist, and Custodian help run sermons and services.
Every improvement helps you stay one step ahead of both business demands and the undead threat. Venture beyond the graveyard by unlocking Expedition Mode through the Expedition Station, where radio signals lead you to dangerous missions outside your walls.
