Hamster Corporation, the company behind Arcade Archives, has revealed that the next Console Archives title coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5 will be the NES version of the Taito arcade classic Bubble Bobble.
Designed by Japanese developer Fukio Mitsuji, Bubble Bobble was originally released in arcades in 1986, where it immediately became one of the company’s biggest hits and soon spawned a variety of console and home-computer ports. Among these was a 1987 version for the Famicom Disk System, developed in-house at Taito, which was later localised and launched on the NES in 1988.
