Control Resonant is Remedy’s fastest-selling game to date, tripling the studio’s quarterly revenue

It’s been a good few months for Remedy Entertainment. In its latest financial results, the Finnish game developer announced that its third quarter revenue had more than tripled to €39.6 million ($44.3 million) from the €12.2 million ($13.7 million) it made during the same quarter last year.

That spike in income is all thanks to preorders and launch sales of Control Resonant—of which only the first seven days of sales were counted in Remedy’s third quarter figures. On October 15, Resonant sold its millionth copy, making it the fastest-selling game in Remedy history.

“This is our first self-published game of this scale, built on our own Control IP,” said Remedy CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon, who was appointed to the position earlier this year. “Praised by players and critics alike, it marks a defining milestone for the company.”

Gaudechon also noted that “close to 50%” of Resonant players were Control newcomers, indicating the sequel had achieved “a key goal” of expanding the audience for Remedy’s brand of stylish interdimensional sicko content. Its mission for the immediate future, the CEO said, is to continue delivering Resonant to more interested players—2.4 million of whom still have yet to turn their wishlists into purchases, according to Remedy data.

“Our priority now is to get Control Resonant into the hands of more players. Excellent player reviews, penetration in all our target markets and a substantial outstanding wishlist base give a solid foundation for the game’s longer-term sales potential, supported by both organic visibility as well as our targeted marketing activities,” Gaudechon said. “As with the launch, we will invest with discipline, prioritizing actions with a clear return.”

While Remedy’s operating profit margin was still thin for the quarter—1.5% of revenue, or €0.6 million—Resonant’s strong launch performance is a welcome change of pace from where the studio was at the end of last year. In November 2025, it had posted an operating loss of €16.4 million thanks to the flop of FBC Firebreak. From the sounds of it, Remedy’s aiming to continue that momentum with whatever work it has planned next.

“Alongside the launch of Control Resonant, our other projects are proceeding in the pipeline,” Gaudechon said. “Sales over the remainder of the year will ultimately define our financial year 2026. Control Resonant gives us a solid foundation for growth.”
